چکیده

Autoimmune reaction in Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM) is caused by genetic and environmental factors. The genes HLA-DQA1 HLA-DQB1 are strongly associated with T1DM. Other established markers of T1DM were Zinc Transporter 8 Antibody (ZnT8), Glutamic Acid Decarboxylase Antibody-65 (GAD65), C-peptide. This study aims to analyze ZnT8, GAD65, HLA-DQA1, HLA-DQB1, C-peptide Indonesian children A cross-sectional was conducted Dr. Soetomo Hospital, Indonesia. examined an ELISA kit. Mann-Whitney test performed a significant value p<0.05. total 62 participants consisting 31 for each group enrolled. prevalence patients 77.4%, 90.3%, 87.1%. There 74% had two positive antibodies 55% HLA peptides. no difference peptides between control groups (p=0.12; p=0.19). Meanwhile, the comparison C-Peptide values shows (p<0.05). peptide higher non-T1DM children.

Association of the HLA-DQA1 and HLA-DQB1 Alleles in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Diabetic Nephropathy in the Han Ethnicity of China

HLA gene system is one of the most polymorphic regions of the human genome. The association of HLA class II genes in T1DM pathogenesis has been reported for several ethnicities. Associations of HLA class II genes with T2DM have revealed inconsistent results. Moreover, correlations between DN and HLA alleles remain unclear. We carried out DNA typing chip by specific medium resolution typing prob...

investigation the role of gender on the hla-drb1and -dqb1 association with type 1 diabetes mellitus in iranian patients

objective: type 1 diabetes mellitus (t1d) is an autoimmune and multifactorial disorder. subsequent analysis on human leukocyte antigen ( hla) region shows that hla-drb1 and -dqb1 genes have the strongest association with t1d. in this study, for the first time, we investigated the influence of gender on the hla-drb1 and -dqb1 association with type 1 diabetes mellitus in iranian patients in order...

Association of HLA-DQA1*0101/2 and DQB1*0502 with Myasthenia Gravis in Southern Iranian Patients

Background: Myasthenia gravis is an autoimmune disorder of neuromuscular junction characterized by skeletal muscle weakness and fatigability. Different genes may control the induction and clinical presentation of this disease. Various HLA alleles are reported as predisposing or protective genetic elements in myasthenia gravis. Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the probable as...

Epistasis among HLA-DRB1, HLA-DQA1, and HLA-DQB1 loci determines multiple sclerosis susceptibility.

Multiple sclerosis (MS), a common central nervous system inflammatory disease, has a major heritable component. Susceptibility is associated with the MHC class II region, especially HLA-DRB5*0101-HLA-DRB1*1501-HLA-DQA1*0102-HLA-DQB1*0602 haplotypes(hereafter DR2), which dominate genetic contribution to MS risk. Marked linkage disequilibrium (LD) among these loci makes identification of a specif...
